Iceland is a location of dreams, even before you've set foot. Although we had this trip booked, planned & budgeted for almost three-quarters of a year, we still couldn't believe it was finally happening!
Touching down and viewing the vast volcanic-spread landscape along every roadside just seemed like a false reality. While there we made an excellent choice to rent a car, which now looking back made the trip a hundred times better. Having freedom of time & place allowed us to explore at our own pace, and not have to wait on poor time management from others on a coach trip.
We ensured to plan as much as physically possible into each day; whether that resulted in exhaustion or not, we were there to make the most of it. Documented below are what dreams are made of. With visits to the ice caves in Falljökull, Black Sand Beach in Vik, Gullfoss waterfalls, Þingvellir National Park & many more.
